Roots and Routes:
11th International Drama in Educational Research Institute
June 21st – 24th, 2025
University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Located on the traditional lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh Nations, the University of British Columbia is surrounded by the majestic Pacific Spirit Park. Amongst the dense trees of this temperate rainforest are kilometers of intersecting walking and biking routes. From this place of roots and routes we warmly invite you to the 11th International Drama in Educational Research Institute.
Vancouver is renowned for its rich cultural scene, culinary delights, and breathtaking landscapes, including picturesque coastal views, lush forests, and majestic mountains, with easy access from UBC via an extensive public transit system. Why not visit early or stay longer, to take in key attractions? Granville Island Market, Stanley Park, the Space Centre, historic Gastown, or venture a bit farther to climb Chief Mountain: Siám’ Smánit, take a ferry to the Gulf Islands or Victoria? On campus, you’ll find popular tourist attractions, including the Museum of Anthropology, Wreck Beach, Beaty Biodiversity Museum, Pacific Spirit Park, and the UBC Botanical Garden where you can walk amongst the trees, accessible via campus buses or a stroll.
We can’t wait to host and see you in Vancouver!
NOTE: We encourage you to book your accommodations at UBC in the housing blocks UBC has reserved for us for IDIERI 11. Doing so will give you convenient access to the events, which is otherwise a trek from most of Vancouver, while also preventing IDIERI Vancouver from losing funds by helping to meet our quota with UBC.
